Hello and welcome to the art of me (Emely).
I am a Dominican artist from the streets of the South Bronx. I graduated from the School of Visual Arts (NYC) in 2021, with a BFA in Computer Arts, 3D Animation, and Visual Effects. Today, you can find me running around at Method Studios (Co3 NY) as a VFX Production Coordinator.
Let's rewind a bit.
My childhood and teenage years were filled with artistic exploration. From drawing and painting to singing and dancing on stage (not always gracefully), as well as writing, reading, and even photography—I was a true 'jack of all trades, master of none.' Eventually, though, it hit me. I was drawn to so many forms of expression because of one underlying truth: the art of telling a story, no matter the medium, is one of the most powerful tools in the world.
Today, I'm driven by one passion: crafting narratives that resonate with people from all walks of life. Whether I’m writing short stories that tug at heartstrings or bringing characters to life through doodles that feel like old friends, my goal remains the same—to share stories that are universally accessible and deeply relatable.
So, if you’ve ever found yourself lost in a story that feels like it could’ve been plucked from your own life, then you know the kind of magic I’m working to create. Thank you for stopping by and discovering a little more about the Art of Emely.
